Hello
Welcome to family caregiver support. We started this venture to help everyone who is caring for an elderly loved one. This is a time in life which is seldom planned for and most of the time you are thrown into a dark pool wading through bureaucracy, red tape, apathy and a lot of "there is nothing that we can do for you". So you have to forge ahead and create your own strategy, blueprint, and white paper so as to keep your head above water and not get sucked into the abyss of paperwork, denials, and frustration.
We are here to try to shine a little light into the darkness. Adjustment and adaption, you will see these terms a lot on this platform, they will be your sword and shield and will carry you though the next days, weeks, months, and years of the journey. Some days you will wear the hat of doctor, nurse, psychiatrist, accountant, lawyer, teacher, nurturer, and social worker and all while take care of yourself, your personal relationships, your finances, your domicile, and your responsibilities. It can be done. We are here to help in whatever way we can.
Sincerely
Your Friends
